Yazhi holds a Master’s degree from National University of Singapore, specializing in Natural Language Processing. She has 8+ years of experience leading large-scale AI and Machine Learning initiatives across the finance and Investment industries.
In her current role at Visa, she leads the data science team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI/ML and GenAI solutions for clients across the Asia Pacific region, covering 12 markets. Her work focuses on leveraging advanced analytics and AI technologies to drive data-driven business transformation and deliver actionable insights to financial institutions and merchants.
Prior to Visa, she led the Data Science team at CapitaLand, where she focused on developing and operationalizing AI and data science solutions for retail asset management, portfolio investment optimization, etc.
Her professional interests include applied machine learning, natural language processing, and the practical integration of generative AI in business application.
